Clinton’s Remarks at Dinner for U.S.-Islamic World Forum | IIP Digital

Im really glad this statement came about because we are witnessing history in the making all across the MENA region. The future of Yemen and other arab countries are in our hands. We must work together as a team to address important topics, allowing us to stay on top of things. Good intentions are not enough.. During a time like this it we are bound to witness other crisis rise we must acknowledge the reality of this, maybe parties or groups that have plans to hijack or maybe addressing security issues. I understand no one was instability in their country, no one wants to be ruled by another Saleh but words and good intentions are simply not enough- Avoiding a topic such as AQAP whether you believe in their existence or not could backfire on the community- no matter how likely or unlikely it may be-It is a possibility and therefore we should be prepared for every possible situation. Thinking ahead must prevail even over reason and emotion to ensure stability, freedom and peace. We must be more strategic than emotional, just as we must be proactive rather than reactivates. When things do rise unexpectedly we are prepared and have control of the situation. Avoiding this topic only will make matters worse and difficult. we need not aggressive action but effective action
