Obama backs transfer of power in Yemen

Obama backs transfer of power in Yemen - The Oval: Tracking the Obama presidency

only now does the U.S. comes out w/ a statement supporting transfer of power- but thats probably bc they believed Saleh was really stepping down, see, U.S. GOVT this is all the more reason you have to listen to us. We told you he's a jokster, we told you we knew him more than you do! but thanks for supporting a transfer of power anyway!

How much leverage does the u.s. have over Yemen?

The youth pro-democracy protestors are incredible and the key to victory will in the hands of the people. Although being in washington and working tirelessly to make things happen the real action os not in Washington. Yes, we work so hrd convince the US to act fast because Saleh is the reasn behind AQAP so by supporting the prodemocracy movements it would be acting in its self-interests BUT if it werent for the protestors this wouldnt be happening. love love love you guys!
